One of the favorites of places we’ve stayed by far! Virginia and Brian were amazing hosts and the carriage house is absolutely gorgeous. It was comfortable and peaceful. We did walk the neighborhood at night and found some of the great recommendations Virginia supplied. We were pleasantly surprised by the closet with pillow options from soft to firm. They did an outstanding job and we would definitely go back.

Very charming and cozy cabin with large picture windows to look out over Discovery Bay. The hosts were excellent and friendly. We really enjoyed the sauna and the cold plunge into the Bay. Would love to come back in the spring or summer to use the kayaks. Brian and Victoria definitely thought of everything, and it shows in the special touches throughout the house. Thank you.

I highly recommend the cozy and cute Earl Carriage House. A stay at this cottage across the driveway from Virginia and Brian's home brings the added feature of off-street parking — a huge benefit in this quiet neighborhood. And we appreciated the bins to sort for recycling, composting and garbage.
Everything we needed for our 3-night stay was available. We prepared and ate three dinners in the cottage because the kitchen features a nice stove and a solid assortment of pots, pans, plates and cutlery. There is also a diminutive yet effective dishwasher.
The Earl Carriage House is a getaway for two and enough space for two folks who sleep together, as there is not another bed. There is a modern washer/dryer upstairs off the bathroom.
There are also a number of nice touches throughout, including a repurposed hardwood antique bathroom door. We also appreciated the regional chocolate treats and a bag of USDA-certified organic whole bean coffee from Discovery Bay Coffee Co.

We had a wonderful time! It was great to be so close to Port Townsend and Chimacum, and we really enjoyed the view of the water and the comfortable living spaces. The hot tub and sauna were amazing, and the new home theater was a great treat! It was our second time staying, and we would definitely stay again!

Virginia’s Ballard guest house is easily one of the best experiences we have had on the AirBnB platform.
Our experience began a week before when she sent detailed instruction for check in and a thoughtful list of places to eat and things to see in the Ballard area. Check in on the day was exactly as described in her messages and we were able to get settled in quickly.
The carriage house is beautiful inside with thoughtful details throughout. Slippers, robes, and a selection of pillows in different firmnesses made getting comfy easy.
The bedroom and bathroom are on the second floor and only accessible by stairs so keep that it mind if mobility is a problem for you. Otherwise the space was an amazing and peaceful space as a getaway for two of us. Absolutely book with Virginia if you are fortunate enough to find it available on your dates.

Treat yourself to this spot! It really is special. Everything was wonderful! So much care, thought and detail put into creating this lovely spot. We were so happy, comfortable, cozy and peaceful during our time at this home. The host Virginia goes above and beyond and completely hits it out of the park. She is a very kind, proactive and gracious host. It would be amazing if all Airbnb hosts were like her.
When the possibility arrives we will happily be back!

A charming and very clean home with so many amenities! The owners created a gorgeous cottage in a peaceful neighborhood. They paid attention to detail with beautiful art work, wood work, games and well equipped kitchen. They had everything you would need to feel at home for your stay. We walked into this sweet home with an electric fireplace flickering, soft music playing and a welcome tray on the bed! Truly one of the best homes we have stayed in.

Lovely property. Was only there for two nights but could see this being an amazing place to return for long stays any time of year. Master bedroom has an amazingly comfortable bed and linens. Loved the hot tub, indoor fireplace, sauna and access to the beach within steps. Host was very accommodating and friendly. Would return if ever had the chance!

Wonderful location on the water. Perfect for our 5 day visit with 5 guests. Virginia was super communicative and was flexible with our needs (kept the kayaks out for us)
Hot tub was super clean and had a great view of Discovery Bay. Highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
